Area information

Cavtat is a popular place for families to holiday – it is a very beautiful medieval town built on the slopes of the Rat Peninsula. It has a rich cultural and historical heritage so there’s plenty to visit here. There are entertainment programmes all year round and it is a popular venue for the Croatian carnival. If you want to be more active you can make the most of the water sports, horse riding, and walking. The scenery is magnificent, so it’s a lovely place to just relax on the beach as well.

Cavtat is an excellent base to explore the surrounding areas such as: Dubrovnik, which is on UNESCO's World Heritage List, Elaphiti Islands, National Park Mljet, Peljesac peninsula and sights in neighbouring countries like Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kotor in Montenegro.

Travel information

The easiest way to get to Cavtat is by plane, the Dubrovnik airport is just 5 km far from the town. During the season there are numerous flight companies which are offering direct and charter flights from all around Europe.

The other way getting to Cavtat is by car. Once when you get to Dubrovnik by the main road E 65, just keep going for another 16 km and turn right on the T junction to Cavtat.

Situated on a slope above the beautiful sea-side town of Cavtat, the Villa Bella Vista is a spacious villa with apartments for rent all year round.

It is a private, family-run guest house with a tradition of 25 years. It was built in a typical Dalmatian style and it is surrounded by relaxing Mediterranean vegetation. The Bella Vista is tastefully decorated and set over 3 floors with apartments of different sizes. All apartments have spacious balconies with a splendid view over the sea, the islands and a great part of the Dubrovnik Riviera. They would suit couples, families or groups looking for a peaceful accommodation to relax in a Dalmatian small town. Bed linen and towels are supplied, and final cleaning is included in the price.

The town of Cavtat, which you reach after a short walk down the hill, offers important facilities such as beaches, restaurants, shops, banks, a post office and others. There are over 20 restaurants with traditional Dalmatian cuisine, numerous bars and cafés. You will also find some family restaurants in the countryside of the Konavle region. We can recommend the best, book a table and manage a lift for you.
